The name of our brand is inspired by the Wolof word “Taaw” which means “first born”. 

Wolof is a West African language spoken primarily in Gambia and Senegal. Founded by a first born child TAAW’s Treasure values parenthood, community, and the traditions of storytelling passed down through Wolof tradition. First time parenting can be challenging. In the most difficult times parents lean on their communities and on the power of storytelling to empower one another with the wisdom and courage to take on this new journey. That is why we believe in giving you more than just a product. We believe in fostering community!
